Accounting Manager
Midtown office, Atlanta, GA
We’re hiring our first in-house accountant—a strategic and hands-on Accounting Manager to build our financial foundation from the ground up. Reporting to the COO or CFO, this is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment and wants to shape the future of fintech accounting.
You’ll lead core accounting operations, ensure compliance and audit readiness, and bring automation and modern tools into the finance stack. You’ll also collaborate across teams to help make our own product even better.
Daily Operations & Reporting
Own the accounting function, including AP/AR, payroll, GL, and financial processes.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close.
Manage reconciliation of project-based transactions and job cost tracking.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reviews with the executive team.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with external advisors, auditors, and investors on reporting and compliance.
Partner with product, operations, and tech teams to support internal tooling and product feedback.
Champion adoption of real-time expense management, receipt automation, and cost-coding best practices.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows using AI and integrated accounting tools.
Build systems that scale with the business while ensuring control and accuracy.
Drive cross-functional alignment between finance, ops, and product.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
Background in fintech, SaaS, startups, or construction/project-based industries is a plus.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and compliance best practices.
Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite), Excel, and modern spend management platforms.
Experience with automation, expense management, or payments software preferred.
Strong communicator with high attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s preferred
